This place is such a hidden gem in San Diego nestled away in Bird Rock serving up the most incredible pastries I have ever had! I first heard about Wayfarer Bread and Bakery from my work colleague and I knew I had to just check it out.
It’s a nice little quaint unassuming cafe with a great outdoor patio and display of breads and baked goods. The smell was just amazing and I my eyes were quickly drawn to their giant croissants!
I got three flavors to try: Chocolate Croissant, Cinnamon Croissant, and a Lemon Curd Pomegranate Croissant. These croissants are a little on the pricey side setting you back around $5 a piece but boy are they worth it. These are by far the most ULTRA BUTTERY and SUPER FLAKY croissants made fresh daily.
Yes they are a little messy to eat but my goodness do they taste good. You know sometimes food descriptions don’t really live up to their names…well these pasties are definitely not the case! I highly recommend you go try the next time you’re in the area and need a bit of indulgence.
