I love eating churros and I know…they are not the most healthy thing but I really can’t pass up on these fried cinnamon sugar sticks! Originating from Spain and Portugal, my first taste of these delightful treats as a kid in Canada was actually….Costco! I know, such a strange way to have a first taste of these but to be honest they were not bad given they cost only $2 a piece.
So when I heard of the new opening of 3TEN Churro Bar in Mira Mesa I immediately told my husband we GOTTA TRY THIS PLACE RIGHT NOW! This place adds a new twist to your traditional churro by serving it with ice cream like a sundae, although you can also order these individually but who doesn’t love ice cream!
We ordered the Apple of My Eye flavor which consists of:
Vanilla Ice Cream, Caramel Sauce, Sweet Apples, Graham Cracker, Whipped Topping, Cinnamon, Graham Cracker, Edible Fairy Dust + Churro: Caramel & Graham
A real winning combination, not too sweet, and just the right balance of apple flavor and of course the crispy churros dipped in caramel!!! It’s a great little place to hang out and enjoy a unique dessert with friends and family.
